At 20 years of age, Scott Rafkin has already managed to meld together his improvisational guitar technique and lyrical wit with a distinct sense of pop, forming a unique sound that is all his own. Born and raised in South Florida, he first learned to play the guitar, with singing and songwriting soon following. By 17, his former band, Possibly 3, had already garnered support amongst the South Florida high school crowd by playing local clubs and festivals. Word of mouth spread to Nickelodeon programmers about the hot young band, leading to a showcase spot on the network’s TRL equivalent, Slime Time Live.
Caught at the crossroads of his musical career, Scott decided to make the move from Ft. Lauderdale to Nashville Tennessee, where he now attends Vanderbilt University. His college life provided the necessary inspiration for what would soon be his celebrated demo recording.
