Is it possible for one musician to efficiently produce the sounds of Christian, Country, Gospel, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Neo-Soul, Pop, and R&B music? It seems impossible but after hearing the compositions of Canita "Quiet Girl" Rogers, one will know that it is more
than probable but certain. Canita's gifts can be attributed to her talents and training at Caver Creative Performing Arts Program (magnet high school) and the Music Department at Alabama A&M (Bachelor of Science in Music Education, 2002). In Fall 2010, Canita was the winner of BMI Atlanta "Building the beat II" competition. Canita has extraordinary ability as an artist and musician and has performed with numerous artists: Chalmers "Spanky" Alford, a guitarist for Raphael Saadiq and D'Angelo; Hip-hop artist BoneCrusher with Vainglorious Entertainment (bassist); The Sheagle, and all-female country/rock band (keyboardist); Gospel artist Porsha Ray (Keyboardist); Paradigm, an all-female band (bassist); Remedy, an R&B band (bassist, keyboardist/singer); and Sean Simmonds, Gospel artist with Alliant/Xist Records (keyboardist).
Because of her incomparable aptitude to produce music she has arranged compositions for various artist: Remedy, and R&B band (Remedy Live, 2005); Sean Simmonds, Gospel artist (True Story, 2006); Hip-hop artist Bone Crusher (Free, 2007); King David, Gospel Hip-Hop artist (EP Album 2008); Marc Lacy, spoken word artist (Rtiqlation, 2008), (Lyricalcode 256, 2009) and (Lickorice, 2009); Gospel artist Porsha Ray (Dwelling Place, 2008); R&B group RecognitioN; Pop/R&B artist Chelsea Tavares (actress on Unfabulous and Just Jordan); R&B/Soul artist Aretta Hill and many other talented artists and bands within the Huntsville area and state of Alabama.
In 2006, Canita established Quiet Girl Music Productions headquartered in Huntsville, AL. Quiet Girl Music Productions is a music productions company that specialized in arranging vocals, creating and recording music tracks with the highest level of customer satisfaction. This company serves as a foundation for Canita to exhibit her unrivaled musical skillfulness as well as demonstrate her tenacious attitude to making the world of entertainment aware of a vivacious musician/producer, Canita "Quiet Girl" Rogers.
