While at MCA he honed his skills as a creative person securing many major covers while working with such writers as Glen Ballard, Robbie Neville, Mark Mueller, Brock Walsh etc.

In this capacity Jonathan oversaw all aspects of music publishing for Quincy. This also involved doing A&R for Quincy and his various productions including Michael Jackson, Patty Austin and James Ingram.

In 1988 Jonathan accepted a position with Windswept Pacific Music. Windswept Pacific was a company founded by Chuck Kaye, Joel Sill and Fujipacific Music of Japan. Fuji pacific is the largest music publisher in Asia. While at Windswept, Jonathan rose from General Manager to President. The focus of Radar will be to find, sign and develop new writing talent in all genres of music whether they be producers, artists or simply writers. The other focus of Radar will be to identify entrepreneurs in the music business who wish to develop writers as well and therefore provide the necessary financing. Radar recently attained its first number 1 record on the Billboard single sales charts with a New Hollow cover of the Anthony Little song "Sick".

Jonathan currently also serves as a consultant to the Board of Directors for the Academy of Country Music after having been a member of the Board for 12 years.
