artist comments: Jason hears what we were hearing, which is the calibration we were looking for. He gave the track multiple listenings and focused on the key strengths and weaknesses in the writing, recording, and final mix. Our challenge was to find an updated approach to a classic blues format, while invoking that post WWII, smoke-filled San Francisco lounge vibe. Jason indicates we hit the mark on this one. Thanks for the analysis Jason. Much appreciated. On to the next tune! - Mark Patterson

song: CRAZY WHEN HE'S NOT CALLING
artist:David Austin

genre: Latin - Jazz
stats: playlists: 1 | song plays: 332
artist comments: Hi Jason, Thanks for the constructive review. I am aware of the points you mentioned but finances are stopping me from developing it by getting it re-recorded by really good musicians! Loved listening to your own compositions! I thought Rio Wave was exceptional! When I am able to get some funds together I would also like you to review and check out an instrumental jazz type chord progression called "LAZY DAY IN PARIS" + "BOSSA BEACH!".
song: You Dressed My Heart In Blue

genre: Pop - Easy Listening
stats: playlists: 2 | song plays: 136
artist comments: Thank you Jason for the usual professional review and you are spot on with the vocal critic. I had my own concerns . Although the song was written from the feminine perspective it could work either way. If you have any ideas on who could enrich the vocal performance from the fairer gender I would be pleased to peruse another recording for the project. Thanks again Geoff

artist comments: Dear Jason. Thank you for the kind review. The hunch that this song was worthy of a pro critic paid off as I have had belief in this particular song for some reason even though I feel I have written better compositions. I would love this to move in a big way. Be nice to offer London its own "New York New York". Very polished review and thank you. Best Wishes Geoff

artist comments: I gave this review the highest marks possible because Mr. Jason Miles went above and beyond the call of duty. It is evident that he listened carefully to the track and his review was extremely fair, very thorough, and extremely useful, especially with the advice to pay attention to making a memorable melody and to provide more variation in the drum performance. I would absolutely recommend Mr. Jason Miles to any of my friends wanting a review.
