artist comments: I will take everything to heart, as I am serious about my music. I have been cautioned in the past to stop writing music and start writing songs. The critiques help to encourage that. I don't want smoke blown up my shorts, so I appreciate the honesty. I am looking to be licensed soon and need objective reviews. Thanks

artist comments: Wow! Now that I didn't expect! I've been crawling through criticisms of my usual folk/country songs, and it's my first pop song that gets the positive review! Your reviews must make people feel good! Thanks for a thorough exploration and so many detailed helpful comments. After 10 years ill and 12 months in hospital I have no funds to pay for pro demos - (even if needed), but I will take on board your comments and bear them in mind for when I can record. I take your comments about instrumentation etc - and I'll also admit that it was all done using software. I had no choice but to submit my voice as it was. Thankfully my heart and chest problems are now back under control, so expect improvement! as primarily a lyricist, I would have liked to have some suggestions on structure/rhyming etc to pull me up to 5/5, but 4 isn't bad. Thanks for your feedback.

artist comments: Mr. Griffin: I really really appreciate the helpful analysis on this song--this is absoutely the kind of information I need to hear. Wish I could be your intern for a couple of weeks or attend one of your recording session classes. I was a little concerned about the musical flow and cohesiveness of the sections and really appreciate the tips on making the transitions better. Still learning Pro Tools and hope to take courses soon. Now let's talk about your quote(s)--I actually like both quotes but we make only musical sweet-potato pies in SC! The 7 musical sequences represents the 7 sabbatical years mentioned in Leviticus leading to the Jubilee and harmonic chorus towards the end. Hope you don't get tired of listening to my music because I just sent you more. Thanks again sir.

artist comments: Mr. Griffin: It is an honor to have you review my song and provide input! I have learned a great deal from the Pro's on Broadjam. I don't like synth sax either but it makes a good template instrument to convey as much stylistic expression to a real sax player. Studio resources are limited and I am a Pro Tools 10 novice. I will leave my full-time job soon to write more music. I plan to go to a recording studio soon and redo a few of my modern jazz tracks taking into consideration the Pro's advice. Sometimes I throw that music theory book right out the window and allow a little rub or dissonance here and there but I know the human ears have limits! Enjoyed your mixes as well! Mr. Griffin, your Pro opinion and insight is extremely appreciated by this artist! All the best in the New Year!
