Brooklyn has always been known to birth some of the greatest artists of all time: Notorious BIG, Jay-Z, Rakim, many more. I'd like to introduce you to its latest, Produk. Born and raised in Crown heights, he's experienced more than the average rapper. Thus giving him deeper and more relevant subject matter. Produk began rapping at the age of 12. It was merely a hobby in the beginning but by the age of 15 he realized it was something he was good at. During this time period in his life Produk was faced with leaving his old neighborhood and relocating to North Carolina for a few years giving him more experiences to touch on in his music. He began to make a name for himself by releasing the mixtape series "Business Never Personal". Local radio stations in Charlotte and Greensboro caught on to the wave and began spinning Produk's music. But this wasn't enough, so he moved back to Brooklyn and hit the streets. Releasing his streets certified mixtape "Produk Iz The Future" garnished him a buzz in his old neighborhood. But Produk didn't stop here. He followed up with the Batman themed "Bruce Wayne" project hosted by DJ Bootleg earning him over 1100 downloads in the first two weeks via Datpiff. Produk is more than a rapper, he's also a writer and producer.
