A native of Seattle, Phil is a self-taught pianist who only 6 years ago, discovered he could compose music & be a songwriter much to his surprise. In his first 2 years of composing, he wrote the music to 2 locally-produced musicals in Seattle with good reviews while playing live at each performance. He then began his personal search for a style that was his own & which came naturally to him. Ballads of hope, love, loss, hardship, with an occasional touch of the upbeat, he found his niche. A composer & writer of his life's experiences, the average listener can relate & truly appreciate his thoughtful lyrics. Sometimes prose, sometimes rhyme, every song depicts a personal feeling of his. His ultimate goal & wish is to be known as a great songwriter & to have the best of the best sing his creations.
