Welcome to Nutley...not only a city in New Jersey (birthplace of Martha Stewart) and a bad place for traffic in Northern Virginia, but also a trio of merrily angry minstrels.

Nutley offers punk inspired power pop music for the DC metro area. Please check out our two songs on the website here. We like to write catchy songs that have some oomph. We like bands like Husker Du, Descendents, Replacements, Social Distortion, and Alkaline Trio. We also like the Knack, REM, and the Undertones. Son Volt is pretty good, too. Nutley will remind you of 1991. Hope that was a good year for you.

Check out the site and give us a holler. We play live occasionally, so check us out. We'd love you rock you out.

A Short History of Nutley

Nutley congealed in January 2005. Here is the story told by those who were there...

Hi, I’m Paul and I’m the only guy in the band that plays guitar. Nutley is the result of a lot of hard work and a lot of fun. I think the best parts of the band are, it's a trio, everyone sings, and the songs rock hard. I hope you will find that the combination makes for a unique brand of melodic, foot-stomping pop craft.

I’m Chris Osburn; bass and vocals. I am from Indiana and I was damaged by Black Flag at an early age. The Descendents tempered my impetuous youth and I had the good fortune to sing in a band with Tony Lomardo and Ray Cooper. That was 12 years ago.

***EXCITING NEWS*** Ben Marcheski is our new drummer!!! More on Ben later...
