No stoppin' with No Limitz

No Limitz are singer/songwriters Sherry Crawford and Dana Blayone from the Peace Country in Northern Alberta, Canada with Rob Lanctot on bass, Ed Haunholter on drums, Greg Corcoran on lead guitar, and Paul Marceau on rhythm.

No Limitz have performed for festivals, local functions and tons of charities. In the summer of 2006 they opened for Johnny Reid at Peacefest Music festival, and in the fall they appeared in the TV series "Hank Williams First Nation" performing their title track from their new CD "I Know What I Know...and that's not everything". They had the pleasure of opening for Ian Tyson in the episode.

Raised in the Peace Country, Sherry and Dana started as solo songwriters, but being neighbours and friends most their lives, they discovered the intuitive connection between them, and they began to create amazing songs together. The positive energy that surrounds them leaves you feeling like there really are "No Limitz"Ã?Â?Ã?Â?. Their debut CD entitled "Dreamin' Big" released March 2006 was a compilation of original songs written by both Dana and Sherry. These uplifting, positive songs set in a pure and simple acoustic sound, was the beginning the girls needed to get their feet wet and confirmed their belief in their songwriting skills. After a very successful release of this CD they expanded their No Limitz duo to the No Limitz Band which brought them even more success, more sales and opened more doors to festivals, concerts and behold...another CD! Thanks to the creative contribution of the No Limitz band members, this album is full of surprises. Recorded in Calgary, Alberta at M.C.C. Studios by the talented engineer, Josh Gwilliam, along with guest musicians, CCMA Award Winning Keyboard Player of 2007 Mike Little, Craig Korth, and Keith Floen, created additional shades of color to the songs. A No Limitz version of rock, two stepping country or a bluegrassy sound, are just some of the genres you can look forward to with catchy tunes and thought provoking lyrics accompanied by breath taking melodies.
These girls create their own universe and are not afraid of spearheading any event that needs to happen. From traveling around across the country to numerous workshops, C.C.M.A's and W.C.M.A.'s they realized a need in their own northern community. With the multitude of talent in Northern Alberta they hosted the 1st Annual Peace Country Music Conference and Songwriters Workshop. With a representatives from SOCAN, Alberta Music , the local radio stations and special keynote speaker Duane Steele, the event was a huge success. Planning is already in motion for next year with great things to come. No Limitz has just what their name implies - no limitz!
Pulling together many genres, they keep their style fresh and interesting, which adds to their beautifully blended harmonic sound described as the Indigo Girls gone country. To date they have also shared the stage with artists like Sean Hogan, Duane Steele, Julian Austin, Samantha King and Steve Fox. The positive energy that surrounds them radiates during their performances leaving you feeling like there really are "No Limitz". It's music with its own personality.
