We are a husband and wife, Boutique Music Composing Team formed by a native Venezuelan, now Canadian, Arnaly Arriaga. singer, composer, arranger and pianist; and a native Canadian, Ken Shasky who is her husband and co-writer along with drummer and composer Bruce Aitken.
We write music for TV/ Film, Advertising, Corporate and performing artists.

May 18, 2010. Our new version of "Glass of Truth" is posted! This is a new folk version sung by Cape Breton singer Cyril MacPhee. This version will be released as a single from the compilation called "The Cabot Trail GPS Tour CD". Enjoy!

Who Are We

Ken Shasky & Arnaly Arriaga

We are a full time husband and wife music composing team. Our talent is clearly focused at writing and composing music for TV/Film and performing Artists. Arnaly is a native Venezuelan with Marketing degree from IUT Venezuela and a Jazz music degree from McGill University in Montreal. She has toured throughout South America and played in many live venues at the same time she worked in the advertising business for 10 years in her native Venezuela. Ken is a native Canadian Songwriter, before meeting Arnaly, he represented for 21 years leading brands for Canada and created a very succesful business. Arnaly and Ken married three years ago and are now spending all of our time writing and composing music. Their music has already earned several awards from the "John Lennon Songwriting Contest" and "Billboard World Song Contest". We have recently been nominated for the Nova Scotia Music Award in the category of Jazz Recording/ Artist of the Year 2007.

Bruce Aitken

Netive of New Zealand, now a Canadian citizen, the award winning Drummer, Composer and Singer has earned the recognition of the East Coast Music Community for several years now. Bruce Airken has many award nominations to his credit from the East Coast Music Association and Music Nova Scotia, and was named ?Musician of the Year? in 2004.
One of Aitken?s main achievements is the organization of the Cape Breton International Drum Festival, for which he is the main architect and head along with his wife Gloria Jean Aitken. This internationally recognized festival has seen the biggest names in international drumming.
In 2006, Bruce and Gloria Jean Aiken won a ?Hype Award for Excellence in International Development?. Aitken has been on the cover of the international drum magazine ?Drum Connexions? (New Zealand) and also appeared in ?Modern Drummer? (USA), ?Drums Etc? (Canada) ?Canadian Musician? and England?s ?Rhythm Magazine?.

Alejandro Rodriguez

Producer, composer, arranger, sound engineer and bass player native of Venezuela. We can see his name on more than a hundred compact discs. He obtained his Bachelor?s Degree in Music with a major in Music Engineering Technology and a minor in electronic engineer, at the University of Miami (1981). At MusicLab Productions, Alex is partly responsible for the great sound of our music, doing this through his company Legato Productions. Please refer to our Links page for more information.
