Bio

Monolithic is the solo project of Midihead, who began his music career in 1986 as a DJ for a local radio station by day, and a mobile DJ by night. He was just 14 years old when he gave up his summer break to pursue his dream. As he began to hone his craft as a DJ, he helped to establish a tri-music genre nightclub at the age of 18. The club's popularity soared after only a week in business and became the most popular in the state. Midihead's first taste of live performance came when he grabbed an inflatable guitar and stood upon a counter of the DJ booth to rip to Brian May's guitar solo during a spin of "We Will Rock You". The crowd went nuts, and Midihead was hooked.

He quickly joined a band as front man and began performing at clubs, bars and restaurants...anywhere he could get in front of an audience. After releasing a couple of albums and 10 years of performing many live shows, Midihead split from the band in 1999 to try his hand as a solo artist. Monolithic was born, taking a whole new direction with electronic music and releasing the first solo album "Power Undiminished", on Flaming Fish Records. In 2001 Monolithic was awarded "Best Album 2001" for that album at The American Synthpop Awards held in Hollywood. The award was presented by legendary frontman of Information Society, Kurt Harland.

After moving to Southern California, Midihead began to write music for television and landed his first track in Fox's "Dark Angel". Shortly following his television debut,
