With it's concentration on mainstream rock and it's roots in the acoustic sound, the main goal of MERGE was to create an album that serves up tracks to appeal to people from all genres of music. Their sound has been compared to Matchbox 20, Creed, Goo Goo Dolls and Train to name a few. In early April, MERGE completed it's highly anticipated first album after much success playing live. From the power of songs like "Deaf", "Not Real", and the title track "Walking a Tightrope", to the heart of tracks like "Still" and "Sweet November" and even further, the upbeat groove of tunes like "Broken" and "Deep Enough”, this album shows a band with as much diversity as it's name would suggest. “You won’t find one album that covers this much ground anwhere on the shelves of record stores.
