A singer/songwriter from Southampton UK, Melissa's songs cover a broad spectrum of genre. Folk,Rock,Acoustic,Pop,Jazz and Country. She calls herself a 'FRAPJAC' artist.
A classically trained flautist and pianist, Melissa started writing music before her teenage years.Her lyrics are about life and love, her own experiences and those of others.Her music and sound has been likened to that of Kate Bush, Joni Mitchel, Stevie Nicks and Joan Baez.
Melissa has fronted and written for many bands and in 2004, teamed up with Dave and started performing along the south coast as a duo with Melissa on keyboards and flute and Dave on electric and acoustic guitars.Now with Jerry on bass,and Pete on drums, they are performing live at many venues and festivals.
She has released three Ep's to date and is soon to release a long awaited album.
