Mark D. Conklin is a performing songwriter, guitarist and producer with over twenty years of professional experience who currently splits his time between New York and Nashville.

In the last few years he has had nearly 30 independent cuts including the title track of Shannon Curfman's "Fast Lane Addiction" CD which reached the Top Ten on Billboard's Blues Chart. His song "How Do I Say Goodbye" is featured in the recently released independent film Karaoke King which appeared at the Cannes film festival. Most recently his song "Welcome to my Life" recorded by Paige Williams has been placed in the upcoming movie "Wake" starring Jane Seymour and has been nominated for Pop Single of the Year at the 2008 L.A. Music Awards.

He is currently producing country artist Cooper Boone's upcoming CD due out in 2009. Mark was recently one of nineteen writers selected to attend Skip Ewing's Horse and Writer Invitational in Wyoming. He was also one of 12 finalists in the 2008 New York Songwriters Circle Contest. He has co-written with some of Music Row and the Big Apple's finest songwriters including, Pat Alger, Bonnie Baker, Jim McCormick and Anthony Krizan to name a few.
