Trinidad & Tobago's Royal Family

Ras Shorty I (Garfield Blackman), inventor of genres Soca and Jamoo, founded The Love Circle in 1979. Today the legacy continues to grow from strength to strength, and is now led by Isaac Blackman along with his mother Claudette "Moms" Blackman.

The Love Circle has a notable string of hits and remains committed to their mission of "changing culture", "amplifying love" and promoting "family unity", through their inspirational music.

The group is made up of the youngest children of the Blackman family, which include Eldon, Nehilet and Marge. The family members are all lead vocalists, who do double duty on various instruments and background vocals. A few other young talented musicians support these dynamic artistes.

Then, there is the extra serving of JGN Recording artistes, Dixie-Ann Hunte and Kevon Thomas, who are specially featured during the band's performances.

"Jamoo", the indigenous genre expounded by the band, brings together spiritually conscious messages with the contemporary world beat blend of African, Indian, and new age rhythms that wraps you in a magic all its own. Themes vary from exploring societal ills such as drug abuse, domestic violence, AIDS and oppression to seeking inner awareness and understanding to ones of love and celebration.

Isaac Blackman and The Love Circle has such a wide repertoire that they are spectacular at music festivals, weddings, concerts, award ceremonies, regional and international shows, national events and even private functions.

The Love Circle continues to share music that is beautifully orchestrated and lyrically astute. Indeed, their music is socially aware and directed towards uplifting the spirit.
