Nolan Bruce Allen was dubbed in the 1970's "New York's King Of Western Swing" by his musical peers and it stuck. Bob Wills is his biggest musical influence. Utilizing the best western swing musicians in the business he records Big-Band western Swing music in Dallas, Texas - donating 40% of net CD earnings to The National Center For Missing & Exploited Children. With his own Lone Star Band (www.lonestarband.com) he performs 30 - 50 times annually. He's used Peavey Amps from way back when the session amps had metal knobs on them. He plays a Gibson ES350 guitar, with a Peavey Session 400 Amp. Big band hits other than western swing are sometimes included in shows along with other country mega hits. Mostly plays fairs, private gigs, VFW's, Legion Halls and similar places. He is a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion.
