Band members Joel and Thomas West have been making music together off and on for over ten years. Mainly for themselves and to share with friends, it's been their way of soothing themselves and finding relief in a troubled world. Within a week of returning from a trip to Australia at the end of 2008, Joel got a call from a friend who needed a cameraman to shoot the Reggae Festival in Bermuda. Having had plenty of experience from both sides of the camera as an actor, video editor and independent filmmaker, he agreed. He met many artists while there, some long-known and others emerging, shot a lot of footage, and heard a lot of music. The experience inspired him so deeply that when he got home again, he wrote "The Streets of Babylon," his first ASCAP title.
