Dark with a hint of girl is the term conceived to best describe the South-West’s No 1
all girl rock band Kitsch.
Formed late in 2003, the intention of Kitsch has always been straightforward – to play
music that they love. However, with four band members each having their own different
musical tastes, defining the sound they collectively create is not so easy.
Starring Cat, a romantic goth (vocals) Zel, a skater punk metaller (guitar)
Georgie, a self-confessed ska-punk girly girl (bass) and Kattoo, an indie rocker (drums),
Their new six track EP, Wait Your Turn, contains a number of contrasting features:
From melodic harmonies to ferocious screams; simple riffs to blazing solos;
punk, rock, metal, emo and goth to everything in-between.
On the live circuit, their versatility allows them to perform with a variety of bands,
some that would normally be considered too heavy for a punk band.
Who says girls cant rock?
