A singer/songwriter from Ireland that oozes sex appeal yet still holds that girl next door quality! Her songs read like short stories and her melody lines are addictive!!!

ABOUT KATHY:
Kathy Crinion is a singer/songwriter from Trim Co Meath. Ireland.
She has been working with some well known names to produce what can only be described as a rollercoaster of a debut album. Although Kathy has written most of the tracks for this album she has co-written a track called "Wouldn't change a thing" with one of Irelands best known music makers, Charlie McGettigan. The album also sees the writing skills of Don Baker and Gerry Tully both highly regarded musicians in their own right. The album is titled "Ups, Downs & Merry-Go-Rounds" and it hosts a myriad of fine musicians, Ken Gillick, also from Trim, who has worked with most of Irelands top names, co-arranges many of the tracks and features on guitar and keyboard. Kathy also sings a duet with country singer Trevor Smith on a track called "Too Close" written by Frank Foley. It features Kane' Rouke on Fiddle. Kathy's own music seems to cross many genres and her lyrics read like short stories, which is probably partly due to the fact that she is a published author. Other musicians on the album are Martin Quinn on Bass, Guitars, Keyboards & backing vocals, Andrew Quinn on Drums, John Byrne on Saxophone & Simon Fagan on Trumpet. MEET KATHY:
"I get bored easily!!!" That's what I tell my friends when they ask "How do you find the time to be a wife, a mother to three sons, sing with a band, go back to college, become a teacher, write a children's book and now record an album?" The answer is ... there have been so many things I have wanted to achieve in my life that I am now only getting around to doing the one thing I have always hoped to do, record my own music. I believe, if it's meant for you, it will come to you, regardless of how long it takes. I've been singing since I was four years of age or so I've been told, however, the truth is I don't remember a time when I didn't sing. I learned a few chords on the guitar from a friend of mine in my teens and started writing songs. At eighteen I auditioned for a band, got the job and have been gigging with various cover bands ever since. My family have always supported my music and my father was my greatest source of encouragement. Sadly he passed away in 2007, it was hard to believe that this man, my hero, would no longer be in my life. I needed a vehicle to express my emotions and so I starting writing new material and it seemed therapeutic somehow, it was familiar, like an old friend. It was that "old friend" that awakened a long lost dream to record my own music and like a Phoenix rising from the ashes the album "Ups, Downs & Merry-Go-Rounds" was born. I am very fortunate have worked with some amazing people on this project which was recorded in JAM Studios in Kells Co Meath. These people are the back bone of my album. I really am blessed to have worked with such highly regarded artists, and privileged to be able to call them my friends! This album is a dream come true for me, I have written these songs through tears of joy and tears of sadness and they all have a place in my heart. If just one song touches the heart of another it will have been worth every second.
