JUNGLE JIM Biography

JUNGLE JIM

Sean Johnson (aka) "Jungle Jim"
Was born into a musically oriented family and was nurtured in rhythm and melody at a time when music was lived and not simpily taught.Life itself was a musical experience. And his mother was the motivating force that steered him in the right direction.Being the youngest of four (4) children,Jungle Jim can remember waking up every morning to see his older brothers and sister seated at the piano practicing their scales and pieces from Mozart, Chopin, Hyden, Beethoven etc.Next to them was our mother , listening keenly with a no-mistakes-must-be-made look on her face. At that time Jungle Jim did not know the world of music would soon be his fate too,nor that he would eventually attend The Jamaica School Of Music.
While attending Ardenne High School inKingston,Jamaica
young sean started honing his skills and was soon broading his repertoire at Lincoln "Sugar" Minott's famous"YOUTHMAN PROMOTION" studio. This was his introduction to a dynamically exploding recording career,a career which is now under the skillful management of Percy Chin and Hyman Wright of Jah-Life International Records. To date Jungle Jim has released singles such as "who done it","Pressure","Throw Us Down","Try a little thing" and "you should know".The video for "You Should Know" is now currently being shown in the following countries :united kindom ,united states and Jamaica. Songs that have become favorites for many radio dj's from the Netherlands to London and from Salt Lake City to Miami.Jungle Jim's debut album entitled "Everything Is Everything" has been released by Life - Time Records for Jah - Life Publishing.
Currently,Jungle Jim has just released an acoustic guitar single on the Jungle Jimuzik label called"You Should Know' which is getting a lot of airtime on reggae radio stations.Nowadays you can find Jungle Jim at the Mixing Lab Recording Studio in kingston Jamaica where he is working on a live band album and producing all reggae greats with the new fresh sound he created.
Jungle Jim is certainly on his way to becoming a force to be reckoned with in this business of music as he makes his voice heard Internationally.

cd preview from Belgium

(Autoprod)
JAH-N-I : Rastafari Love (Conscious)

Supadave’s cd review

Supadave’s debut cd “something for the youth” is timely and refreshing. His singjay style was influenced by his boyhood neighbour in East Kingston the late general echo.Critics insist that track 2 radio people ,track 3 shoot fus and track 5 the title track borders on controversy ,gimmicking disc jockeys ,holding lawmen to conscience and calling politicians and musicians to help the needy. However the artist also gets sultry with a track titled “hold her tonight” and praises women in “proverbs woman”,he sang one for the shottas (bad boy patrol) then quickly rebuke them with “georgie”.”Glad the war done” slipped through with the strong company of the other tracks and “foot ball time “ although very cunning and fun was a miss calculation (since the fabled reggae boys did not prevail).SupaDave the runaway slave eventually ran away with a sparkling cd review with “need some love” and “love mi land Jamaica”.All the best to our own little sing jay from Morant Bay”.This impressive disc can be reviewed and purchased at local Caribbean record shops and on line at cdbaby.com ,also pick up supadave’s previous cd single “Need some love “ with special guest artists. For performance bookings link Fortisentertainment at 954-319-6157.

supa dave's biography

SUPA DAVE

Dave Robinson a.k.a. SupaDave was born in eastern Jamaica (St.Thomas) and grew up

in east East Kingston where he developed into a natural artist. He had a choice to be motivated by Copper or Count Ossie and he chose the Count. As a small boy he had many influences in the East Kingston area, there were General Echo,Don Drummond,Puddy Roots,Yellow man and Proffesor Nuts who even if never resided in the area frequented it because of the “vibes”.

His first encounter with the music however was not performing but promoting.he was instrumental in organizing “fetes” amongst popular school girls institution such as St.huges and Alpha Academy which came easy as he attended Kingston College.Sports also was a passion and still is as he presently coaches youth soccer and shares his experience from glory days on Kingston College’s victorious manning Cup teams.

His first recorded single “suppen for the youth” dropped in 1993 in South Florida and got decent reviews which spread quickly to New York and back to Jamaica, other steady tunes were ‘black widow’ and “proverbs woman”.The debut album is now doing well abroad and can be reviewed on cdbaby.com.

Supa Dave have done special work with Winston Rieley,Bulby,I-Paul,Carl Peterson just to name a few and continues to hone his skills in the South Florida area and Jamaica.

Influences came from Mother and Mother Earth.Supa also holds Bob Marley,Toots,Count Ossie, Sizzla,General Echo,Sade in high regards.

Resume performance span from Good Year Oval(Jamaica),Caribbean Reggae Fest(South Florida) and with more to come.
