Johnny Worlds has been affiliated with music all his life. Duroing his first 12 years in the music business he worked for record companies and distributors, marketin and promoting records for such superstar acts as King Curtis, Clyde McPhatter, Jackie Wilson, Gladys Knight & the Pips, Samnmy Davis Jr., Jimmy (Handyman) Jones, Johnny Hartman, Ramsey Lewis, Johnny Mathis, The Glamingos, Lester Chambers, Wilson Pickett, J.J. Jackson, and the list goes on.
He has done public relations for Grover Washington Jr., Smokey Robinson, Freddie Nelson, Reb Jessie Jackson, Master John Blair, Seawind, Joanna Robinson, Love Committe, Urbie Green, Gary Criss, The Flamingos, and Clauja Berry, just to name a few.
He has acted in such capacities as consultant, Vice President, President and CEO for a long list of independent record and distribution companies. He has worked in all areas of the media as wee---as an entertainment columnist, as a buyer of print, radio and tv advertising, and, on the creative end, writing story boards, producing the music, and doing voiceovers for commercials, Author Shelly Fields, acknowledges Johnny Worlds expertise on the music industry in her book, career opportunities in the music industry: A comprehensive Guide to Exciting Careers in muysic or music related fields.
