I never thought I would do a band with Mike Barnish.
But there I was at OLCHS 'Battle' when I found out I wouldn't be doing it with my band from last year. I had to do 'Battle', i just had too. Mike was my last hope. He was in the bleachers so i swallowed my pride and asked if he needed a drummer. He accepted me with open arms. Next was a singer. Mike said Chris Court would do it. I knew OF Chris but had no idea he could sing. He came over along with Mike and there we recorded 'Father of Mine' on a karaoke machine my sister owned. It was a cheap recording but it was ours. We decided on Joe's Mom as the name. Next we needed a bassist. I found out one of my best friends, Matt Skrobutt, recently took up bass. He was in Mike's and mine homeroom and we begged him to join. He reluctantly accepted. He brought along George to fill in on guitar. I brought Tim along to help with all the extras. We performed at 'Battle' with only one full rehearal.
