JFolks (Jamaal Folks) began rapping at the young age of 13, but didn't seriously start until age 19. Folks, now age 22, has been in and out of dozens of rap groups but now currently performs with Tuscaloosa, Al. based Common Ground Entertainment, and works with producers such as Dskillz and Warlokk from Lokken Load Entertainment. Because of his lyrical craftiness, strong delivery and catchy hooks, his style is often described as a combination of Nas, Common, Notorious B.I.G. and Jay-z.
