Jeff Herles (1959-2006) has written music for solo piano, voice, chorus, instrumental chamber ensembles and orchestra. Writing both for concert and theater, he has written film music and music for the stage. In Spring 2005 he provided the music for Dan Friedman’s "Robin Hood: A Political Romance", which played at the Castillo Theater Complex on 42nd St in Manhattan. In April 2003 he provided the incidental music for a Baruch College production of Goldoni’s "Servant of Two Masters". As a singer, he has appeared with the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra Chorus, Theatro Nuevo Mexico, the Riverside Choral Society at the Mostly Mozart Festival, the Village Light Opera Group, the Russian Chamber Chorus and in performances and recordings by Cantori New York. Jeff studied composition with Charles Dodge, Fred Fox, Bernhard Heiden, and Thomas Beversdorf at Indiana University and Brooklyn College. He studied tuba with Harvey Phillips, and voice with David L. Jones in New York City.
