I have been writing and performing music for the past 20+ years in the pop-rock genre. Growing up, gospel and country played significant, influential roles as well. I also have a jazz performance degree with emphasis on the alto sax and piano.

From 1987 to 1997, my band judge nothing toured the country with the likes of Uncle Tupelo, Joan Jett, Fugazi, the Descendents, ALL, Blue Meanies, Smoking Popes, Green Day, etc., releasing various d.i.y. records independently, including many compilations, and two records through the Chicago label, THICK records.

I'm currently in Chicago and still writing independently and with the band PETLOVER,
looking for more opportunities to broaden my options and skills as a songwriter.

Just discovered your music here on Broadjam! Wow! Did you get in these ads that you did songs for? So cool...the piano pieces were really nice too!

Hello Nick, I very rarely get any feedback or comments via Broadjam. But I must admit, I'm not quite sure what you're referring to in your comment.
Thanks! - doug

Doug, When I listen to songs (instrumentals) they sing the hidden English words (sometimes French). As a lyricist, I cannot hear music without adding words. If you want to take a shot at working together, I am easy. - Nick

Enjoy the variety of styles and your diverse pedigree. Do you know Chicago punks Naked Raygun?

Thank you VERY much for the kind comments. And yes, I'm very familiar with Naked Raygun. In fact , years ago my band opened for them down in St. Louis. And I had the opportunity of running into Jeff Pezzati at Riot Fest last year. Crazy life! Thanks again for acknowledging. -d
