My bio

John West has been an active performer/musician in stage, screen, television and recording since childhood, working in all mediums successfully. Since arriving in Los Angeles he has continuously made a living with music in Hollywood.

He got his first professional industry job as a staff writer and producer on the Motown label.had songs cut by such singers as Jennifer Holiday as well as songs recorded on other acts. Here he had his first songs placed in film, and more recently his vocal arrangements are heard in "Phone Booth" and Disney's "The Three Musketeers" starring Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy.

John's singing career took hold as he became an in-demand vocalist for TV and Film. He has worked as vocal contractor for such blockbusters as "Godzilla", "South Park - Bigger, Longer and Uncut" and most recently "Hairspray". His vocal performances are included in the films "King Kong", "Norbit", "Men In Black", Spiderman 1, 2 & 3", "Night At The Museum", "The Simpsons", "Get Smart" and many others totaling over 125 films!

John's television appearances include "Dancing With The Stars", "The Academy Awards", "Boston Legal", "American Idol" as well as many others.

John has worked with such stars as Whitney Houston, Phil Collins, Bette Midler, Vince Gill, Ricky Martin, Celine Dion, and Beyoncé and has been featured as soloist on many nationally released recordings.
