I was born and raised in Los Angeles California in the 60's when the Motown sounds where at it's peak. I started playing guitar about the age of 5 years old, mimicking the songs of Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and so on. Later on in my youth I turned my ear towards Jazz, especially the guitar style and sounds of George Benson and Earl Klugh. When I graduated from High school, I attended 2 years of Jr. college (LACC.... Los Angeles City College) studying music, mostly classical. I then took a turn towards classical guitar. Over the years I played in various bands but as time progressed, I became enthused with the background/underscore music I heard in TV shows and movies from artists like Lalo Schifrin and Quincy Jones. I'm now putting my hands towards underscore music with the hopes to one day land a score.

Hi Isaac,

Hey thank of the nice review of my song, "The Blue".
Yes, the guitar is in a unique "open tuning". I have been creating "open tunings" since the mid-1960's and us them a lot on a lot of my songs. If you stop by my site and listen to more songs, you'll hear unique tunings through-out. Many are non-traditional tunings, where I have to change strings to get the tuning I am using. Of course, this song is in a waltz-like tempo so I think the tuning works well. Of course, there are also the lyrics and song, too....which I am glad to hear you also enjoyed.

I write and have written songs in MANY styles over the year with over 2,000 composition. I think I have about 200 on the Broadjam site. I, too, studied classic cello, piano and guitar.

Anyway, thanks, again, and keep on strumming!
