Groove City began making music for hire in 1998. He is the son of the late gospel singer Bill Woodruff formerly of the legendary Sensational Nightingales. He has a great but tumultuous life story and has continued through it all to hone his God-given musical talents. His mission is to make infectious and inspiring music with a soulful hip hop edge. He has worked with several talented MCs and singers to date. He continues to grow and develop his talents and his sound. He has created a style of music that blends lush instrumentation and synthesized sounds with samples of music from various eras and genres called "Soul Hop". Groove, along with Artist/songwriter/mix engineer TecNice`, strives to promote this very emotive and satisfying brand of music. Soul Hop is a sound that can morph to provide the soundtrack in any situation or scenario. Groove continues to hone the sound so it lends itself to the Artists' vision with class and quality. Groove works with SoulMindMedia as co-Executive Producer and Vice Director but also offers music production and engineering services for hire.
