There is no need to hype 629. A casual listen to their debut recording, Reflections, refreshes the ears and senses with the delight that comes from
listening to a pure rock & roll experience. A closer listen will reveal the mature musicianship and songwriting that cannot be obtained from production
"tricks," but is derived from superior talent. This is
an unapologetic, journeyman rock band in every
sense. A comfortable familiarity is present in the
compositions, which spurs one into singing along
by the end of a song. The lyrics, delightfully understandable,
are slices-of-life stories. They create
mental landscapes that can draw one deeper into
thought, provoking a range of emotions.
A noteworthy difference between 629 and many
of the contemporary rock bands is their strong

This is a grownup rock & roll band. These are
mature men, unashamed to admit they are not
