Bassist/guitarist/songwriter, Bob Idakaar, with music partner, multi-instrumentalist Bruce Gatewood, guitarist Randy Bernsen, and vocalist Rich Ortiz, with drummers John Hvasta & Scott Miller, with Brian Kornfield, and keyboardist John DePace create "Go With Me", an alternative rock group based in the tri-state area.

A veteran of many A-circuit clubs, Bob Idakaar has worked for a time as studio bassist for several Atlantic Records recording artists. Idakaar has been a member of several bands that almost become one-hit-wonders and opened for such groups as the Wilson Sisters and Taylor Dayne, as well as toured with the Roscoe Martinez Band and Chicago. Bob has also worked in film scoring and soundtracks and has 50+ album credits. His major influences include Gin Blossoms, Counting Crows, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jars of Clay, Neil Young, Jeff Buckley, among others. His range of genres include funk, gospel, rock, reggae, and everything else in between.

Rich Ortiz

Lead vocalist Richard Ortiz has played in the North Jersey area for the better part of the last 30 years with a 6-year stint in the Southern California circuit. Rich displays a remarkable vocal range and depth. His formal music education began with saxophone lessons in third grade, and he subsequently taught himself the bass and guitar. Among his musical highlights is his national debut as a Gong Show finalist and opening up for Derek Trucks (Allman Brothers Band guitarist). Rich also contributes instrumentally to Captains of Leisure including percussion. He has been a featured member of Blues Elixir (8 years), The Lost Dog Acoustic Project, The Hairingtons, and The Passengers (9 years) and often guests with other area bands. Rich also regularly spends some of his spare time working as a sound man for dozens of bands, both local and national, and is an active charter member of the music ministry steering committee for St. Mark's RC church in Long Valley, NJ.

Bruce Gatewood

Bruce Gatewood received his BA in music from Washington University in 1991. At the age of 6, Bruce Gatewood started playing guitar and is influenced by The Beatles, Kiss, Rush, Genesis, and many more. Bruce is a multi-instrumentalists and also plays bass guitar, percussion, keyboards, mandolin, ukulele, lap steel and banjo. He is Digidesign Protools certified and has 100+ album credits.

Bob Idakaar

Bob Idakaar is a bass player and song writer based in the tri-state area and the owner/operator of musicstudio.com where he works as a producer, engineer, and session musician. A veteran of many A-circuit clubs, Idakaar worked for a time as a studio bassist for several Atlantic Records recording artists. In his early days, Bob was a member of Mind Mural, Friction Addiction, and a plethora of almost one hit wonder bands. He has opened for several nationally-recognized acts including the Wilson Sisters, Taylor Dayne, and, touring with the Roscoe Martinez Band, the supergroup Chicago. Bob has also worked in film scoring and soundtracks and has 50+ album credits. His major influences include Gin Blossoms, Counting Crows,The (original) Scattered Few, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jars of Clay, Neil Young, Steve Morse, Randy Bernsen, Deep Purple, Ken Hensley-Uriah Heep, Towers of London, David Bowie, Frank Sinatra, Ron DeFalco, Jeff Buckley, Sly Stone, Paul Weller, John Hiatt, & Roby Duke. His range of genres include funk, gospel, rock, reggae, and everything else inbetween.
