Story behind the latest EP

‘We basically wanted to create a themed album, where all the tracks have an interlinked story running throughout. We thought it would make the songs even better to have a story behind them, so listeners can learn to relate to the character and find out more through each song.
The story we decided to tell, is that of a man whose destiny is of great importance. The four songs relate to his past, present and future.

‘My Destiny’ is the first track, and is set in the present. A fortune teller tells the man his future. She foresees a woeful yet very important destiny for the man. She tells him of his past, and of what will come, but the man is defiant and says he will make his own destiny.

‘Heart on My Sleeve’ is the mans final episode. This is where his destiny is revealed. He is destined to become an angel and watch over earth, but not to interfere in the mortal world. It pains him to see all the wrong in the world, and not do anything about it, so he rebels against his peers and makes his own destiny, to change the world for the better. We decided that we wanted this track to be the most inspirational song as it’s the final part of the story, and so we tried to make it as motivational and powerful as possible.

‘Love.Fate.Destiny’ is set a while after ‘My Destiny’. Since then, the man has lost the woman he loves, and he is trying to kill himself to be with her again. However, fate will not let him as it’s not his time to die and fulfill his destiny.

‘Guilty as Sin’ is about the mans past, and what he did in a past life. It tells of how he was responsible for burning a witch at the stake. It tells it from his point of view, and the witch’s point of view. The woman that the man loves in ‘Love.Fate.Destiny’ in a previous life was the witch.’

Biography

Flaveret 3rd are a 3 piece pop punk band hailing from Yorkshire. They have been playing gigs around the UK for the past 4 years. But now as the band have grown so has their musical ability and song writing ability, and their style has matured and progressed. With the release of their latest EP Wear Your Heart on Your Sleeve, the magic and gothic themed songs have gained them a whole new fan base. They are currently preparing to tour the UK in the summer of 2007, and are also submitting their new material for consideration from major labels.


Style
We would class our musical style as punk pop rock, however, not all our songs fit strictly into this category. Our influences include bands such as Blink 182 and Greenday, but we draw our impressions from a much wider range of artists, from rock to pop and acoustic.
We feel so strongly that all our songs should stand out and be very catchy, that we only write songs that we know will be successful.

History
We recorded our first E.P. (‘Not Jack Formula’) in 2004, a 4 track demo recorded at Pig Hut Studios, which we spent 3 days doing. We feel that although the songs on it are good, our musicianship and more importantly, our writing techniques, have changed and grown vastly since then.
Our second release was the album we recorded ourselves and released in 2006 – ‘That’s Why It’s Called Payback’. It has 17 tracks on it (including three of the previous demo’s songs).
Our latest release is the E.P. ‘Wear Your Heart On Your Sleeve’. This was again recorded at Pig Hut Studios.
