Biography
Fear of Sound is a truly original vocal metal band out of the suburbs of Chicago. They have recorded and released two five-song demos one titled (di-fi`) and the other titled (Focus). The band recorded both demos at Studio Chicago with the help and guidance of Martin Stebbing, who is best known for his work with such bands as Poi Dog Pondering, KMFDM, and Wilco. What resulted from these recording sessions are two five-song demos that truly defines who and what Fear of Sound is.

Fear of Sound has been playing shows around the Illinois and Wisconsin area for the past couple months. With every show having something in common, new fans that are in love with Fear of Sound. It may stem from their absolutely raging live performance or their originality, either way their fan base has grown with each and every show they have played. This raging live performance has also rewarderd Fear of Sound with gigs opening for national acts such as HATBREED, MUSHROOMHEAD, MESHUGGAH, and 40 BELOW SUMMER, the sky is the limit for this band.

Aside from playing shows Fear of Sound has been interviewed and have had their songs added to radio play lists in their area. As far as Fear of Sound's success on the web, they have launched fearofsound.com, which within its six or so months of existence has received almost 6,000 hits. Fear of Sound has also enjoyed much success on websites such as garageband.com. Their song "Killing You Now" was retired at 29 out of a database of 40,000 songs
