A portion of it. One of the coolest things about this service is that each Pro Reviewer is required to give you an “Approved Quote.” You may use this portion of the review in your press kit, your website, your song page or wherever you promote your song! The additional content in the review is excluded from such use, but the quote is fair game, wherever you choose to post it! See #5 of the “Terms and Conditions” for additional information.
Not necessarily. Not everyone is an expert in every genre of music, so a Pro Reviewer may prefer to review only the genres that reflect his/her considerable expertise. To see which genres a Pro Reviewer accepts, go to the “View All Pro Reviewers” page (http://www.broadjam.com/proreviewers) and click “Submit My Songs” next to the Pro Reviewer you want to check. On the page that comes up, you will see the Pro Reviewer’s preferred genre(s) (if any) next to “Genres” near the top of the page.
On the “View All Pro Reviewers” page (http://www.broadjam.com/proreviewers), click “Review Template” at the top of the page to see the review form that the Pro Reviewer uses.
Industry professionals are busy, so sometimes they’re out touring and sometimes they’re knee deep in the studio. They are in demand and that’s why they’re on our site! Each reviewer sets the number of reviews they take on at a given time and sometimes they won’t be able to accept submissions. “No slots available” means either that the Pro Reviewer’s queue is full or that they’re currently not accepting new songs for review. This can be changed by the pro at any time, so make sure you sign up to be the first one notified as soon as they start back up again.
If the Pro Reviewer declines or can’t finish the review in time, Broadjam will contact you to resolve the submission.
All Pro Reviewers are required to complete their reviews within 30 days of submission.
Yes. Each artist who submits songs will receive a Pro Review, unless the Pro Reviewer deems a song inappropriate. This will usually be based on genre or demo quality. For example, you should not submit boom-box recordings of a full band. But if you’re looking for songwriting assistance, submitting a demo that’s just voice and guitar or piano might be fine. The idea is that you want to make sure that your reviewer is experienced in your genre of music, so please make sure that you check the Pro Reviewer’s information/preferences before submitting.
