Evil Jake is an NYC-based melodic Rock band that puts Power back in “Power Pop”. Evil Jake brings together three veterans of top New York State bands, all top-notch musicians.
Mike Jacobs (guitars, vox) was a founding member of top NYC Power Pop band The Pasties and has been called a "Guitar Virtuoso" by the national press, which covered his work since his precocious club days at age 15. Paul Campanella (drums, bvox) and Aaron Trubic (bass, bvox) were respectively voted “Best Drummer” and “Best Bass Player” in their hometown and have played and recorded with some of the region’s best musical acts.

All of this Evil musical talent is focused on superior songwriting and kick-ass live performances. With influence ranging from KISS to Motown to punk to straight-ahead rock, Evil Jake has been compared to a range of bands including Cheap Trick, Blink 182, Lit, Elvis Costello, and The Police. The hooks, melodies, licks and attitude are all in place. Called "The Who for the New Millennium" by one member of the NYC press, Evil Jake has what it takes to create a new yet familiar sound.
The Jeff Beck-meets-Danny Gatton fretwork of Mike Jacobs is matched only by his songwriting talents.
