A Pittsburgh native, Erin Burkett has lead her own band, The Mean Reds since 1994 throughout her hometown and the northeastern United States. Strongly rooted in gospel music, she has been performing a hybrid of soul, gospel, and blues to loyal audiences.

Burkett presents an earthy and humanistic approach to spirituality bringing her "church feel" to concerts, bar rooms, clubs, festivals, and television appearances as well.

Erin Burkett has released two self-produced CDs of original music which have sold in excess of 2500 and have received radio play both locally, out of state, and internationally.


Burkett's band has shared the stage with such legends as Savoy Brown, Koko Taylor, and John Mayall.
