Cox is a solo vocalist with a smooth R&B & Hip-Hop flavor on Urban Beats that can be felt and heard from teenagers to mature audiences. In 1998, he released is first solo album, "Cox, Clubn", and it became popular at colleges and commercial radio stations along the eastern coast of USA. Marcus has toured with such R&B acts as Bad Boy artist "112"and "Li'l Kim". Cox has written songs for up and coming Hip-Hop artist "BYG" and R&B female vocalist Ruth McClarey and Vida Stone. In addition, Cox has performed a duet with Major Recording Artist, "Ms. Sunshine Anderson" for The University of North Carolina Central's Homecoming celebration and acted in local plays and modeling agencies.

Having grown up in a small city in North Carolina, Cox reflects a soft spoken charm with hip-hop influences in his writing.
