Donald H. Sanborn III is a composer/arranger, trumpet player, and writer (lyrics and prose).

Mr. Sanborn is at work on a musical and a Christmas piece, having just completed an Easter duet for trumpet and organ. Recent premieres include a brass quintet, "Fanfare for Caitlin's Castle" (inspired by the composer's Goddaughter, the piece also exists as a duet for trumpet and organ), and a song cycle, "Dreams of Edgar Allan Poe". He contributed the music for two songs from Raw Impressions' updated musical theater adaptation of "La Ronde."

At New York University, Mr. Sanborn completed his MA in Music, and studied composition with Dr. Steven L. Rosenhaus. During this time, "Elegy for the Roswell Crash Victims", a work for solo clarinet, was premiered by woodwind virtuoso Emil Sein, and "Bow Jest" was premiered by the Brentano String Quartet.
