ANTHONY FERNANDEZ – DREAMKATCHER

Born in Queens, NY and a now-resident of Florida, dynamic R&B/Pop/Hip-Hop producer ANTHONY FERNANDEZ (A.K.A. DREAMKATCHER) stands apart. Guided by a critical ear and attention to detail, as well as a genuine dedication to music and the science of production, he succeeds.
In his childhood, Anthony began taking an interest in music - first as a fan, and then as a player. In church, he gravitated toward the piano, and his then mentor, Wade Terry (Professor at Mt. Clair College in New Jersey,) saw the spark. He nurtured Anthony's aptitude for the piano, and encouraged him with lessons. Applying his golden touch to the classical technique was a breeze for Anthony, who quickly moved from rudimentary lesson books into highly advanced pieces.
Anthony's first step into audio technology came when he spent time with his friend Kevin Green, who had a basic setup at his house. Anthony became rapt with intrigue and started to learn as much as he could about audio balance, production techniques, instrumentation, and technology. Anthony also enjoyed the benefit of starting this interest at a time when technological advances became increasingly rapid.
Through the years, Anthony continued to be a real listener of music from varied styles - analytical and with a keen ear. He went on to join the U.S. Air Force. There, he received more technical training and two special service commendations: Airman of the Quarter and an Air Force Best of the Best trophy.
Post-military, he ventured onto Florida International University (FIU) where he majored in Electrical Engineering. The marriage of the electrical science with the science of music production came naturally to Anthony, who deepened his pursuits.
Anthony's produced music for FIU (which aired on local college stations.) One of the artists in his roster, Darwin Jose performed to Anthony's track at Channel 41, Miami. He's also performed for local clubs including Club Empire, Miami, hosted by BET comic Larry Dogg. He also produces for rising R&B/Pop artists Annelise Collette and Jennifer Blain.
Anthony prides himself on demanding a great deal from himself and drawing the best performances from his artists. He is a constant student of music technology, and enjoys exploring new horizons and pushing the borders. His standards are impeccably high, but his approach to people is very kind.
In his free time, Anthony commits to charity work. He's donated time to Tournament Of Champions, Habitat For Humanity, The Red Cross, and the Family Support Center At Mcguire Air Force Base. He's also been involved with several church functions, outreach programs, and community talent shows. His volunteer work at FIU rendered him Student of the Month. He also mentors recent music production graduates from Berklee College of Music (Boston) and Full Sail University (Florida.)
Though his success is imminent, and his talents prodigious, Anthony remembers to thank those who made it possible for him to continue in music. He continuously thanks his parents, his mentors, and, most important, the Lord. His three artists are in the recording process and performing; bringing Anthony's tracks along for the shows! At present, Anthony's studio DREAMKATCHER MUSIC is gaining serious momentum, and the best is yet to come.
