IMSTA is proud to introduce the IMSTA FESTA Songwriting Contest conducted and hosted by our partner Broadjam. This contest is an annual affair that will provide aspiring and established songwriters the opportunity to have their creative pieces heard by industry professionals. You can write songs in any genre, with or without lyrics. This is the environment to learn, network and connect with the professionals. Do not miss this opportunity!

All song entries per region will be distilled into a top 3 using Broadjam's blind listening peer ratings mechanism. This competition runs throughout 2015 with four separate regional drawings that are linked to each scheduled IMSTA FESTA. The Top-3 finalists will be judged at a special panel at each IMSTA FESTA. This contest is for the IMSTA FESTA in Chicago, IL on July 25th, 2015. Entrants may only submit a song that has not previously won another Song competition. Submissions will be verified.

Prizes

All finalists will be asked to be present for judging, if they are not, an alternate will be put in their place. Judges will listen to finalists' creations and pick the regional winner at IMSTA FESTA and given a prize, with over $15,000 in prizes. Prize selection includes:

  • Native Instruments Komplete
  • Arturia V Collection
  • SONY Audio Mastering Suite
  • Celemony Melodyne Editor
  • Steinberg Wavelab
  • FabFilter Pro-Q 2

  • Free entry to Black Rock Studios Song Camp in Santorini Greece.

At the end of 2015, the four 1st place winners from each IMSTA FESTA will enter for the Grand Prize from which, the winning "Song of the Year" will be selected. The Grand Prize winner, in addition to prizes, will win a FREE trip to a songwriting camp hosted by Black Rock Studios in Santorini Greece.

Black Rock Studios is considered one of the most beautiful studios in the world. Each year Black Rock hosts several Songwriting Camps at their picturesque location on Santorini Island in Greece.
