About the provider: Straight from uptown Manhattan (Washington Heights, New York City to be exact), Jason "Polo" Carbonell always had dreams and ambition to be in the music industry. At a young age he would buy Hip Hop albums and always look at the credits to see who produced the hot tracks that we all know and love. Polo was hired by L.A Reid to be an A&R Administrator working projects with the likes of artist such as Usher, The Neptunes, Young Bloods, OutKast, TLC and Toni Braxton. After L.A. Reid left Arista Records and became the Chairman and CEO of The Island Def Jam Music Group in 2004, he called on Polo to join him as a A&R Coordinator. While at Def Jam, Polo's hard work was recognized and he was promoted to A&R Manager, getting the opportunity to work with superstar artists such as Jay-Z, Young Jeezy, Kanye West, Rick Ross, Ludacris and Rihanna. With a strong music resume and experience learning from some of the best in the game, he is one of the top tastemakers in the game.

Direct from the provider: Def Jam Recordings is on the lookout for new talent. If you think you belong on our US roster and you have what it takes to make it in today's hyper competitive music environment, we want to hear what you have before you submit it anywhere else!
