Electric Guitar Solo Contest

Do you have what it takes to jam with some of the greatest guitar players around? The producers of the Saturday Night Jam at the 28th Annual Dallas Guitar Show and MusicFest are looking for one more performer to add to the growing roster of guitar greats whose impromptu performances have entertained thousands at this annual event.

Last year's Jam included Rick Vito, Rick Derringer, Johnny A, Andy Timmons, Greg Martin and many more. Who’s this year's line-up? We won't know the complete program for awhile, but it could include YOU! Enter the Electric Guitar Solo contest with your original song or lick, or upload an original song with your guitar solo in it, and you may be selected to jump on stage at the Saturday Night Jam, April 9, 2005 in Dallas, Texas.

One winner (individual, not band) will be selected to perform at the Jam. He or she will have backstage access and will receive VIP treatment all weekend. In addition to the honor of performing alongside some of the industry’s greatest guitar soloists, the winner of the Electric Solo contest will win a Peavey HP™ Standard EXP Guitar ($699.99 value), a Broadjam Primo MoB membership, which includes website hosting for one year ($200 value), plus half-price recording studio time at Luminous Sound Studios in Dallas for the remainder of 2005. Please note: the winner is responsible for any travel expenses or accommodations needed to perform at the show. In the case that the winner is unable to perform at the Saturday Night Jam, he or she will still receive the prize package.

The entry fee is $5 per song and you can enter as many songs as you like. Once a number of songs have been submitted we’ll ask you to take an active role in the contest by completing several peer reviews to help us find the best entries. The final round of judging for this contest will be done by the Dallas Guitar Show staff and will be based on guitar work and overall sound.

A portion of the entry fee will benefit the Texas Music Project and music education in Texas schools.
