Hi Roy
Please can you tell me if the sound quality of music recorded at home on a Boss br 900 is good enough quality for licensing submissions? Yours faithfully Pete

Peter, Thank for the question, this is a tough one. I have heard recordings done a 4-track tape that would make the cut and others done on Pro Tools that wouldn't. I am listening to your list as I write this and it seems that your stuff is produced well, maybe a little more time mixing and eq'ing is needed. But the recordings, performances and arrangements are very good......Point me to a specific song of yours and I will listen closer and maybe I can give you a better answer to your question......Roy

Hi Roy, thankyou for your prompt reply. I have only just bought the BR 900 so have not got any material yet. My other songs were recorded last year using a Q bass program in my mates small studio. Thanks again, Pete.

Hi Peter. To answer your question, I agree with Roy it has been done. I recorded some of my songs on a BR1600 at home. Check out "Just my Luck" and the "Ghosts behind Me". All tracks where recorded at home except for the Vocals and Drums, plus sound Effects. What I did was take all the tracks into main studio and add proper EQ and effects. The biggest thing as what Roy has said was get a good performance and spend a little more time mixing anf mastering the final product.
Hope this Helps Larry Vannatta
