Hi Thomas, I did listen to your song; "Chasing The Wind", and can say it is a world better than the previous song of yours I reviewed. I read your profile, and you mentioned that you are not content with your tunes to date. I can hear the stage of production you are at. Definately don't hang it up now. This is a good tune. I would recommend outside studio help for your recordings from start to finish. This is not to put down your music. It is just hard to put together a decent sounding song without involving at least a few people. You will come very close to achieving the sound you hear and will finally have it down on record. Cheers, Scott.

Thanks for the comment and the advice. I have contacted a local studio, and have started to talk with them about possibly recording there. One of the great things about the studio is the owner is a guitarist at another church connected to the one I go to. I have also started to seek out vocal and guitar lessons in hopes to build on my skills once again. I would really love to find people to jam with, that is how I learn the best, but so far, the only musicians that get a hold me, want me to join a band. If there is anyone interested in just jamming or performing, without forming an official band, I have yet to find them. I really miss working with people, and seeing what can come from throwing different ideas together. I used to have a lot of fun doing that. When I do go to the studio, it will my first time in one to actually record. I am rather excited and scared at the idea. But I am more looking forward to see what the outcome is. Like most bands I like, people seem to really like my live performance, but my recordings not so much. So I am hoping to try to capture as much of the "live performance" as I can.

Thank you for the review. If you are interested, I have a song titled "Chasing The Wind" on my profile, in which I think the recording is a little better than the one you reviewed. If you do listen to it, I would like to know what you think of it.

As it stands right now, I am no longer going to try to preform my music for people or in front of people. I will continue to play and write, and might even record and post some music from time to time. I can not totally leave music, every time I try, God seems to place a deeper desire in my heart for it. Yet, no one really seems to be interested in my music, so I am caring less and less about playing for people. Though, honestly, nothing in the world makes me feel like being able to get up in front of a live crowd, no matter how big or small and get to sing and talk about God. You are very welcome about downloading your track, I enjoyed.

It was good to hear from you too. Like it or hate it seems to be the case with the songs I write. Though more people seem to enjoy me performing than anything. Even when I talk and talk and talk, people seem to love it. But I am very passionate about what I do, and am hoping to meet up with some other musicians that are as well, so we can go on the road together. Well, anyways, enough about me...lol Good to hear from you, I do enjoy your music, thank you for doing it.

CHILLIN' WITH JESUS was actually the first song I listened to when I came to profile a day or two ago. I really liked it. It actually reminds me of a song I am working on that uses Psalms 91 as the lyrics, hence its title "Psalms 91". Kind of in the tradition of Lou Reed it is spoken not sung, but unlike him, I am feeding my voice through a processor to give it different sounds at different times. Anyways, I enjoyed your music. And on a personal note, when I signed up for broadjam, I was living in Fort Myers. I now live back in the northwest in Washington state.

Thank You for the Favorable review!!! If you really liked the songs there are more @www.billybradford.net hosted by broadjam!

Thank you for the overly kind review of my song "Did You See Him?" The thought behind this was what the disciples might have faced in more modern times with the news media clammering for interviews.

My goal on broadjam is just to get some of my songs out there so possibly somebody that knows what they are doing will cover them. I really would like to hear some of my songs done by somebody who can play and sing.

I realize my own musical skills are extremely limited and I don't consider these versions of my songs as anything other than a sounding board but I still had fun putting some of these down on my Tascam 788.

I look forward to giving your music a listen.

Rich

Thank you for the review. I really appreciate. That was actually a demo of a song called "His Son". When I started writing it, I was playing around with the song "Dirty Deeds Done Dirty Cheap" by AC/DC and tired to see what I could come up with. I had already written the lyrics, and before I knew, something completely different from AC/DC had emerged. I am working on the version that I plan on releasing on my upcoming album. I had already started to add more guitar parts, but more via Randy Rhodes than Andy. However, that would be a cool idea as well. I am hoping that this version will be a lot better than what is on my profile. Again, thank you for the review. I did really appreciate it.
