Hi there.. Do I call you TG ?...Wow..what a great song..I've been listening to "Look at the stars" as one of the peergroup hot 100 comp songs I have to judge...and it's given me goosebumps...I think you could do a lot with this song and you must get it published ..if you haven't already...I would love to hear other songs you have written... funny enough ...another thing ...Don't know if you are the songwriter and the vocalist for the song or demoing the song for the writer but your vocal is exactly the vocal I'm looking for ..for some of my songs..that I have had to do myself apart from a few female demo singers I used ..dont know if you would like to collaborate ...but anyway...if you would like to hear some of my songs..and you have a few minutes...have a listen to a snippet of these songs of mine... and let me know what you think....these...some of them..with a bit of a country/pop tinge to them I think would suit your voice are ...I can be me... Hi Al, Just a note to let you know I read your review of "Bluestone Mountain" contemporary... it is going on a cd of American views of life ... now and in the past... so I have made sure it is easier to listen to... for some reason it was a tough song to get down... I have another version's, it is what I call Bluegrass kinda style... I have been told--NOT!!!! I think that is the one for my cd... I always put songs up before they are totally finished...I have the best producer and engineer in one... always gets the job done, in the end...so thanks for the input. Gave a listen to couple of your songs.. one you have a couple woman singing, very interesting use of the reverb... I see your music list is Al Reed music. Reed is my maiden name spelled with double E... not often see that in Scotland... ancestral Gfather came from Cornwall in 1660 to Am... was a lieutenant in Cromwells army...guess he wasn't going to wait around after Cromwells demise...love the interesting stories... guess that is why I like songs that tell stories. hi joe thanks for your review of muy song 2i aint got the honky tonky blues " you probably noticed it was a male vocal..but a female song ..couldnt get a suitable female vocal so i just did it myself...you gotta get them out there whatever...sorry i live in scotland so a bit of trip to come to your open mike night but heres a thought i wonder if anyone has thought of a big internet screen and you could have country artists from all over the world performing live without being at the venue..an idea ? cheers al
