the BIG Phil Collins/Peter Gabriel drums and the Jeff Beck-ish guitar work like a charm in this song, it's a great piece of work. great harmonizing gts on the back half, this great track gets 5 stars in my book.

Thanks, Jeff, for the very fair review of Victory. I'm glad somebody besides me sees how horrible that crashing cymbal sounds. I left the final touches of that in someone else's hands, and I wish I would have recognized this at that time. It needs to be remade.
It's a great melody man, immediately sounded familiar, it definitely should be used somewhere. Crash symbol needs to go though.

sure thing. I noticed that you're also a big Steely Dan fan, so we have those influences in common (Sting, PG, SD). do you like early Genesis ? I've got a good friend locally that I jam with and we do some Genesis. maybe we could collaborate with Splice sometime. I'm a drummer above all else, I'd love to throw down some Manu Katche style drums on a track. - keep rockin' those good tunes !

f the foo fighters, you guys could eat them for breakfast...The Runner is fantastic, reminds me of the best of 80's without the overtly prog elements...but it captures the energy and the lyrics and vocals are slightly reminiscent of David Bowie (Never Let Me Down, Earthling). I think you guys are the vanguard on the resurgence of synth pop rock. great video for ..Set Alight. I'm going to download that album now...

love your sounds and rhythms, can you tell me a little about your process in putting a track like "Circumstance" together ? great layers and arrangement...nice build-ups...
Hey thanks for the nice message. Circumstance came together starting with percussion; I had a percussion player play a bunch of stuff and I made parts from that. Then I had a keyboard player come in with his ideas. Again I broke things up into parts. Then added live drums and other synth layers and had a guitar player come in who dropped in the melody. The song is still in process as I extended the song another 4 bars from the version currently on bj and I am going to add a simple violin solo to cap it off and bring the song to near 3 minutes. Many of my songs come together like a painting; adding a part leads to other ideas and it's only finished when everything is filled in to my satisfaction. Thank you for taking an interest in my music and the way I create it!!
