You said you would have liked a short vocal portion. the reason we did not add a vocal track is because it was written for a specific use that did not want a vocal track. That was one of those songs that just came to us from who knows where. After I had written the music, Diana had a great idea for the lyric and this is what we ended up with. Time is a little tighht for us righht now...two immediate family members in the hosital, one jusrt had surgery and the other is in a coma...outcome not looking good. Thank you for you kind review of Wine Glasses. Your description of being transported by the piece is one of the greatest compliments you could have paid me! Several reviewers have suggested vocals over my piano pieces, which has never occurred to me. But, I've been starting to think about ways to incorporate them. I love how Howard Shore used vocalists in his Lord Of The Rings scores. A direction like that has been forming in my mind. I enjoyed Marionette. All the best to you with your music! -Loren
You're welcome, I look for the positives in every song I review here and there were plenty of positives in your piece. I'm having another cheeky listen to it now :) I think adding vocals with take your music to a whole new level and if this is something you choose to do in the future then I will certainly be wanting to hear more of your tracks. Thanks for your comments about my track too, It a bit different to my usual music (I play piano also) so I'm in an experimenting phase. keep up the great work! :)
