Dave thanks sooh much for your great review of my "Killing Me " agree 100% with you ,I recorded it at The Soundgallery and the engineer had masses of gear and tweaked the harmonies incredibly well i remember on first playback i burst out laughing saying it sounds like the Von Katon Family Singers ! ha ha, I just turned 65 last 11/02/14 and hope to redo it there again, it was actually written as a male female duet so you hit the nail on the head ! please look up my experimental instrumental version of it on my profile ,rather messey but had great fun with it Blessings JK Exeter Devon )0( )0(

Well, Mr. Katon, it's a pleasure to have you back. Love the photo, and I'm eager to read your bio as soon as it's ready. By the way, I've given a listen to your latest (and it's the greatest!) of your guitar innovations thus far. Awesome mix of acoustics and gut wrenching guitar riffs. Very original and well practiced improvisation going on there. It's (freestyle improv) what I wish I could add to my instrumentation but which I cannot, firstly because I can't play guitar; and secondly, because I'm stuck in MIDIville. Thank you for your kind comments and glad to see that you're back at it. Will talk soon!

Thanks for the review, you are right about the composition, ive bearly enough money to live on and rely on state benefits, its not all wine and roses in the Uk, (I wish) "fate Take One was recorded on the free prog, Audacity and I now have access to Sony Acid studio 8 Ive never been a pro musician and at the age of 62 i ve left it a bt late.Ricardo do you have any ideas to help me on strengthening the voice please? I wish I could afford to go into a proper studio . In the old days (60s , 70s )the bands i played in were unidated with gig offers and sometimes wed be performing every night of the week, we used to have a manager who came with us and instead of sound techs he would be in the audience point a finger ie "You up a bit, or you down a bit", it really has changed.

Thank you, John, for your kind comments. To answer your question on the title of the song: "just desert" is actually an hackneyed old phrase that I appropriated for its title. The phrase itself commonly referred to something which was justly deserved, such as, perhaps, a smack from one's mum for eating too much licorice. It is also a little play on words for me due to the reason that it resembles the word dessert. And the "icing on my cake" after a long and horrendous day at work led me to create this monstrosity entirely out of frustration. I know, TMI. But I thank you for your interest and consideration.

I never got smacked for that, never liked liqourice, ha ha, got walloped for no reason sometimes. I dont see it as a monstrocity its full of really good phrases, actualy the guy on Music Xray is right, I need a de cent singer, im 62 now and the voacl chords are not what they used to be, any ideas for improving that please? Ive cut down on the ciggys etc but it dont help much. Please keep up the godd work )0( john

Thank you, Mr. Katon, for your compliments. I am deeply humbled by the fact that you (as someone with incredibly rich experience and rare talent) appreciate and enjoy the songs I've written. That being said, if you'll allow, I am also particularly impressed with the song Fire in Your Eyes, which is written right from the heart. What an incredible guitar track! I hope you submit more songs. In answer to your question regarding instrumentation, it would probably be more accurate to say that I am completely without instruments, and that I program everything from scratch through a midi portal. Sad but true. On a side note, I'd like to know more about your experiences with the Triffiks, and I do hope that you elaborate in a bio. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Al.
