Brian, Thanks for your nice note. I find that when I review for strengths and weaknesses in a song, I am becoming a better musician. When I'm just listening, I don't hear the detail in the same way as when I'm trying to provide honest feedback. It stirs ideas and sometimes makes me wonder if I am really critiquing and/or educating myself when I listen to others. Years ago when I was Director of the Ensoniq School, I learned that if you really want to know a product or topic, start teaching it and you will get questions from students you might not ever consider yourself. I find the same result when reviewing, I hear things that inspire me one way or the other.....And the best part about it, I can provide unbiased input to a fellow musician. Thanks for being such a great contributor to this community. Roy
I have taught different subjects at several points in my life. That is so true. What is wonderful as a teacher... when your students teach you. Nothing like it, is there? I love the community here. There are so many wonderful and amazing people.. and so much talent. I learn here everyday. And have made good friends.
