I was reading your profile yesterday and read the comments of those who are questioning the review of songs being done by our competitors.. I have something to bring to that table.. Incase you are wondering, I have already sent 2 messages to your Customer Service and have yet to recieve a reply from them. So, here I am.. On 3-29-2011; my song titled: Daisy Mae, received the following detailed Rating: Genre most appropriate, R&B. Title for this song, Smoothy. Market potential 5/5. Like to hear more, 5/5. Quality of Instrumentation 5/5. Quality of Recording, 5/5. Quality of Arrangement, 5/5. Quality of Song, 5/5. Overall Rating, 5/5.. POSITIVE COMMENTS: Very smooth....that why I titled it "SmoothY" :) Very good arrangement! .... CONSTRUCTIVE COMMENTS: LoveIt! Nothing bad to say! So, why is my Review Score 35/35??? Not 50/50?? AGAIN ON: 3-29-2011, my song PinPoint received the following detailed Rating: Genre most appropriate, Unique. Titled for this song, Sasson Groove. Market potential, Not Shown.. Like to hear more, 5/5. Quality of Instrumentation, 5/5 Quality of Recording, 5/5. Quality of Arrangement, 5/5. Quality of Song 4/5. Overall Rating, 5/5. POSITIVE COMMENTS:I can totally hear this in a movie or a commercial.... CONSTRUCTIVE COMMENTS: Since I have to write something here maybe one more place where the beat changes up again.. Again, why does my Review Score show to be 29/30?? The next day: 3-30-2011 Daisy Mae was again reviewed as follows: Genre most appropriate, Rap.. Titled for this song, We Be Gettin It.. Market potential, 3/5.. Quality of Hook, 2/5.. Quality of Instrumentation 2/5.. Quality of Recording 3/5.. Quality of Arrangement, 3/5.. Quality of Song 3/5.. Overall Rating, 3/5.. POSITIVE COMMENTS: Cool groove here. Recording quality is not bad. Pretty good guitar sounds. It has a good vibe thru it. CONSTRUCTIVE COMMENTS: In my opinion, this should hit the part fast, and be done. Like the theme from "Cops". 4 or 5 minutes of this can be repetitive, especially for an instrumental. If someone really liked the tune, and wanted to use it for a show, movie, etc, they can edit/loop a shorter version easily. Sure liked it though! There seems to be a contradiction between the Rating of 19/35 and the written text (positive & Constructive).. Approximately 2 weeks ago, I received a review of my song titled: You Know.. That Rating was so bad that I deleted it. Re-mixed it in my studio and then reposted it.. Since I have reposted it, it has been played a total of 21 times to this date.. My song "You Know" has not been reviewed.. I have another song, Huh Hunn Huh Hunn Yeah, which has been played 8 times and have not received a Rating yet.. To be honest, I am worried as to what type of Rating they will received, given what's been happening to this point.. I have 1 song "So Satisfyin" which received 5/5 all the way and was given a Review Score of 50/50.. Which is lovely.. I am hoping that you can solve this situation for me.. As I stated at the beginning of this message; I did in fact send a message to your Customer Service, explaining to them about my song "You Know", without receiving an answer.. I also sent them a message of complaining about a review I received on 3-28-2011, concerning an unfair Review of my song "Sweetest Love.. Roy, I do understand that a busy person you are, with so much responsibilities to attend.. I hope these matters can and will be righted for me; help me understand what is going on.. Our Ratings mean alot to us here.. Bad Ratings don't get us anywhere in this business.. There are those who reward those of us who have high rated songs.. For someone to give an unfair rating (for the wrong reasons) is not right.. I thank you for your time..
Elegant, Thanks for your note.....I am on the road and don't have access to specific reviews. However, I will ask someone at the office to look into it and I'll give it my best shot....Regarding the emails: Please forward the emails that you sent to customer service. Our rule is to respond to all emails within 1 business day. Send them to me and I will look into this.....I don't have the data on the songs, but my guess is that the reason you got 35/35 is that the reviewer only answered 7 questions. This does not penalize you at all, as we figure averages when calculating the result....The reason the second review is 29/30 is that the reviewer answered 6 questions and gave all 5's and one 4 totaling 29 points.....Third review: If the reviewer contradicts their own score, then contact them and ask them for more feedback. They may have a logical explanation for their review. When I review, I find strengths and weaknesses in every song. Maybe they have the same approach.....When there is a review conflict, we look at the pattern of the reviewer to determine a course of action. If the reviewer is consistently giving low scores, then we remove them.....Song plays do not reflect number of reviews. It simply means that someone chose to listen to your song.....One last thought: If you get a bad rating, reach out to the reviewer and ask them what they would do differently. You may be surprised at how helpful some of or members can be.......Again, I don't have the data in front of me and I'm guessing at what probably happened. I will ask someone at the office to look into this and contact you......Hope this helps.....Roy
35/35 is the same as 50/50. Just as 1/1 is the same as 2/2 in math. It just means the reviewer didn't review every area b/c it might not be their area of expertise. It still came out to a 100% postitive review.
You're right Susan. If the reviewer deems that some questions are inapplicable .. they won't give a score for it. Therefore the total score is no longer out of 50 .. but out of how many questions have been rated.

If you look at the number of categories which shows reviewed; the first one (Daisy Mae) has 7 categories: all 5/5 but ended up with 35/35.. which is a reason for my messaging... PinPoint shows 6 categories.. .. Then Daisy Mae the third listed, shows 7 categories.. I understand what everyone has said in their message.. It did clear up alot, but the first of 7(5/5) does not add to be 35/35, it should have been 50/50..
Roy, I sent the messages to Customer Service via the Contact Customer Service area.. I looked for the section which would show what I had sent, but could not find it.. Wouldn't they have it.. Again, I thank you Roy..

Well whn smokey was wit motown he kept run n ta berry i got a hit but; berry would tell him naw smokey thts not da 1. after wht 50 to may b 100 songs smokey went ta berry n said berry i got a hit..............berry says let me hear it... smokey starts to sing........My moma told me u better shop around.........berry said smokey thts it.....the rest is history...n every thing smokey wrote b 4 tht he put it out n da rest is history...1 thng about it smokey never complained...n thts the end of tha story 'Paul Harvey'
