Irish singer-songwriter Clare O' Mahony has just finished her debut album Secret World. The album features 10 original tracks, 2 of which were produced and recorded by Declan Sinnott (Christy Moore, Mary Black). Clare has been gigging extensively to promote the album including taking part in the Songsmiths tour as part of Cork Folk Festival as well as travelling to New York to play in the Living Room along with Rachel Loshak. After this Clare travelled to Newfoundland, Canada, where she was one of 7 Irish songwriters chosen to take part in Islands of Song - a concept where Irish and Newfoundland songwriters come together to collaborate and perform, with the Newfoundland songwriters inlcuding Ron Hynes("Sonny's Dream"), Pamela Morgan (Figgy Duff) and Darrell Power (Great Big Sea) . The highlights of this trip was a performance at St. John's Arts and Culture Centre. For Clare, this included an invitation to sing "Sonny's Dream" with the song's writer, Ron Hynes, to a packed house.
